About Lake Milton
Mahoning County, Ohio
Lake Milton is a lakeside community in Milton Township, Mahoning County, and had 637 residents at the 2020 census. It shares the shoreline with the village of Craig Beach and has its own post office (ZIP 44429). The lake is a 1,640-acre reservoir created by a dam finished in 1917, after the great Mahoning River flood of 1913 pushed construction forward. In 1988 it became Ohio’s 72nd state park. Its southern end connects to Berlin Lake.
Lake Milton is about 7 miles south of our Newton Falls home base as the crow flies, so it’s one of the easiest stops on our routes. Lake-house yard or year-round home, we’ll scoop it, latch the gate, and text you a photo when we’re done. You don’t even need to be home.
