Dog poop pickup in Alliance, OH

Alliance is a city of about 21,700 people (2020 census) in Stark County, with a small piece reaching into Mahoning County. It formed in 1854 when three small communities merged, and it’s known as the “Carnation City” for Ohio’s state flower. The University of Mount Union, founded in 1846, is right in town, and the Mahoning River runs through the northeast side of the city.

Alliance sits about 22 miles southwest of our Newton Falls home base as the crow flies, at the southern edge of the area we patrol. Local dogs have the city’s Coastal Pet–Burnell Dog Park on West State Street, with separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. Silver Park on South Union Avenue is home to the city parks office. When the walks and dog-park days are done, we’ll take care of the back yard.
