About Lordstown
Trumbull County, Ohio
Lordstown is a village of about 3,300 people (2020 census) in southern Trumbull County. It was laid out by Samuel P. Lord and was named for him, and nearly all of the old township incorporated as the village in 1975. The village covers about 23 square miles. It’s best known for the former General Motors Lordstown Assembly plant, which built compact cars from 1966 to 2019 and was sold to Foxconn in 2022. The Ultium Cells electric-vehicle battery plant also started production there in 2022.
Lordstown is only about 5 miles east of our Newton Falls home base as the crow flies. That makes it one of the quickest stops on any route, whether you live near the village center or out on a big rural lot.
